Rockyfor3D

Since December 2025, Rockyfor3D is powered by Nature Analytics experts Luuk Dorren and Christoph Schaller. Rockyfor3D provides a proven 3D simulation solution that models rockfall trajectories in complex terrain, including the effects of nets, dams and forests. 

In addition to technical backstopping for Rockyfor3D, we support large-scale rockfall simulations at regional and local scales. We carry out fully probabilistic rockfall analyses that consistently combine release probability with runout, reach, and impact probabilities. This approach enables robust hazard assessments for region-wide studies as well as highly site-specific applications.

From October 2026 onwards, Rockyfor3D ® (version 6.1.0.) and related technical documents will be available here. Until then, Rockyfor3D can be obtained by becoming member of the int. ecorisQ association.
