Privacy Policy

1. Controller
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this privacy policy is:
Nature Analytics GmbH (LLC) Switzerland (UID: CHE-412.680.194), Email: info@natureanalytics.io
This privacy policy applies to visitors of our website at natureanalytics.io and explains what personal data we process, why, and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, to the extent our processing relates to visitors located in the EU/EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What data we collect and why
2.1 Website traffic analytics
We use an EU-hosted web analytics service to understand how our website is used. We do this for internal, marketing-oriented purposes only — to analyse visitor traffic and behaviour, and to optimise our website's content, structure, and user experience. We do not sell this data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Depending on configuration, the data collected through this analytics service may include: your (truncated/anonymised) IP address, approximate location (country/region level), device and browser type, referring website, pages viewed, and time spent on the site. Where the analytics service uses cookies or similar local storage, this is disclosed to you when you first visit the site, together with any choices available to you.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our website (Art. 31 para. 1 revFADP; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), balanced against your privacy interests through data minimisation (e.g. IP truncation/anonymisation where supported by the tool) and by keeping this data for internal use only.
Recipients: our analytics provider processes this data on our behalf, as a processor, under a data processing agreement. Data is hosted within the EU/EEA; we do not transfer analytics data to countries outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA.
Retention: we retain analytics data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above. Data that could identify an individual visitor is deleted or fully anonymised after a limited period (typically no more than 14 months); aggregated, anonymised statistics may be kept longer for historical comparison.
Your choice: you can object to this processing at any time (see Section 5). Where our analytics tool offers a built-in opt-out (e.g. a cookie-free tracking toggle or opt-out link), we make this available on the site.
2.2 Information you provide to us directly
If you contact us — for example by email or through a contact form — we process the personal data you provide (such as your name, email address, and the content of your message) in order to respond to your enquiry.
Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual steps taken at your request, or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 31 revFADP; Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
Retention: we keep this correspondence only as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, or as required by law.
2.3 Server log data
Our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information (such as IP address, date/time of access, and requested page) for a short period, for IT security and to keep the website operating reliably. This is standard technical necessity and is not used for the marketing-oriented analysis described in Section 2.1.
3. No sale of data, no third-party advertising
We do not sell personal data. We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies/pixels on this website, and we do not share the data described above with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. International data transfers
Where personal data is processed by service providers located outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, we ensure an adequate level of protection is in place (e.g. via the European Commission's or the Swiss FDPIC's adequacy decisions, or standard contractual clauses). As noted above, our current analytics provider is hosted within the EU/EEA.
5. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your data;
- request restriction of, or object to, our processing of your data;
- request data portability, where applicable;
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@natureanalytics.io.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC/EDÖB, www.edoeb.admin.ch); if you are located in the EU/EEA, you may instead or additionally contact your local data protection authority.
6. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration, appropriate to the nature and risk of the processing involved.
7. Children's privacy
Our website is directed at businesses, public authorities, and professional audiences, and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our data practices or in applicable law. The version published on our website is always the current one; the date at the top indicates the last update.
9. Contact
